Experimental water from a small Bavarian manufacturer
Today I would like to introduce you to a small manufacturer from Bavaria that I want to support: TANJA SCHURY. The range includes products sold as colloids, including colloidal gold and colloidal lithium. They are offered as experimental water for laboratory, research and experimental purposes.
The two bottles in my photos are actually here at home. I like the simple labels against the brown glass, so I photographed them alongside the heather and autumn decorations. Autumn has clearly started to make itself at home here. 😊
Why I wanted to introduce this business
I want my blog to make room for small businesses I would like to support. With Tanja Schury, there is a named maker behind the products. She describes making them by hand in small batches in Bavaria and bottling them in amber glass. That personal side is what I wanted to share with you.
My photos show you the bottles and their design. They cannot tell us anything about the composition or quality of what is inside.
Colloidal gold sold as experimental water
The product called “Kolloidales Gold”, or colloidal gold, also carries the German description for gold dispersion on its label. The manufacturer describes an electrolytic production process using fine gold and treated water. The listed bottle sizes are 250 ml, 500 ml and 1,000 ml.

Colloidal lithium in the matching bottle design
The second bottle is called “Kolloidales Lithium”, or colloidal lithium. Its label also describes it as a lithium dispersion and experimental water. The manufacturer lists the same three sizes: 250 ml, 500 ml and 1,000 ml. The design matches the gold bottle; you can see them together in my photograph.
I am using “colloidal lithium” here as the product name. The name alone cannot establish which chemical forms of lithium are present or whether the product is a colloidal dispersion in the scientific sense. That would require appropriate analytical data.

What does colloidal actually mean
Colloids are a concept from chemistry. In a colloidal dispersion, very small particles are distributed throughout another material, such as water. IUPAC describes a size range of roughly one nanometre to one micrometre in at least one dimension. Individual dissolved metal ions are therefore not automatically colloidal metal particles.
The word “colloidal” describes a material’s physical characteristics. By itself, it establishes neither exceptional purity nor a health benefit. I have not carried out my own laboratory analysis of the bottles featured here.
Other colloids in the range
Alongside gold and lithium, the manufacturer’s materials list products named colloidal silver, colloidal copper, colloidal silicon, colloidal magnesium and colloidal zinc, among others. These are their product names. You can find the current selection and individual details in the shop’s product overview.
What the experimental water is offered for
The supplier specifies laboratory, research and experimental purposes only. Do not drink or ingest these products, or use them on people or animals. “Experimental water” is not an invitation to experiment on yourself. Consult the specific product and safety information before any technical use. The decorations in my photographs are simply a backdrop for the closed bottles.
